How to set the proper humidity? You can adjust humidity from 30% to 90% in 5% increments, and the ideal 40%-50% humidity is beneficial for your health. The automatic humidity setting in 'AU' mode is: a. Temperature > 80.6°F: Humidity Auto-setting is 50% b. 68°F < Temperature < 80.6°F: Humidity Auto-setting is 55% c. 41°F < Temperature < 68°F: Humidity Auto-setting is 60% However, when the temperature is < 41°F (5°C), the machine will stop working.

Why can't this dehumidifier reduce humidity? 1. Power off for 2 minutes before restarting. 2. Ensure machine humidity is set 5% lower than the environment (display when first on). 3. If ambient temperature < 41 ℉(5°C), there will be no dehumidification, only fan operation.

The hot air coming out from the back of the unit is normal, as it is generated by the compressor. The dehumidifier does have an air filter that can be easily accessed and washed after pulling out the water tank.
